The meeting was called to order by Pres. Tom Ireland at 7:00.  36 attended 10 are new.

Minutes and Tresurers. Report were read.  David Gillespie proposed an amendment to the March minutes.  The sites he described along Cache Creek are recreational cabin site with no mining rights.  This amendment was approved.  The Tresurers. Report was read and approved.

Old Business – Chicken Outing.  It appears road access to the claim will be possible.  The sign-up sheet was available.  Several new members signed up.

Outdoor Week – The BLM will host 6th graders May 8th- thru 11th.  Sigh up sheet is available.  Hours are 9:00 to 2:00 daily with a Friday thank you lunch.

New Business – Joe Demery , Pres. Of the Kenai chapter states that use of the GPAA claim requires all equipment to be removed each day.  He has invited Officials and our group to come to the claim July 14th and show our interest in using this claim.

Suction dredging permits – Two permits are now required on the Kenai.  They can be obtained at Fish and Game on Raspberry Rd., and in Soldotna.

Election of Officers – The present slate of officers were re-elected by unanimous vote.  They are Pres. Tom Ireland, Vice-Pres. Bill Dunlevy, Sec.Tres Bonnie Tisler, Out Chair Roger King and Claims chair Chris Crouch.  David Gillespie suggested these names be forwarded to Temecula for reinstatement of our Chapter.

Announcements – Bill Dunlevy requested pictures or videos of our meetings and outings be sent to Bill Bear our Web master for posting on our web site.
