The meeting was called to order by President Tom Ireland at 7:05.  56 members attended, 5 are new.

Minutes and Tres. Report were read and approved.

Old Business – Linda Henderson volunteered to be membership chairman.  Membership goals and participation were explained.

Chicken outing – Awards for participation were awarded.  26 were paid $100 each and 3 donated their award back to the Chapter.  Chris Crouch brought pictures of the flood on Myers Fork.  Claims have been closed and flooded out.  Mike Busby took a dozer up Tues. to reopen the area.  Miner’s equipment was lost and damaged by the high water.  The road to Eagle has been closed and several rigs were stranded by washouts. A picture of the German men’s gold is on Chicken Gold Camp web site.

Bill Bear reported that the other camp has no claim to prospect.  He worked on Chicken Creek.  The camp has 24 hr. electricity, showers and well water.

Panning demo – Several members attended the panning at the Golden Nugget RV Park June 19th.  Sales were $655.00.

New Business – The Alaska Miner’s Assoc. has requested our help at the Alaska State Fair booth on Sept. 5th.  That is on Sunday.  We can sell our salted sand.  Members will set up our panning tubs and teach panning.  A sign-up sheet was circulated.
