The meeting was called to order by President Tom Ireland at 7:05 after our monthly potluck.  44 attended and 9 were new members.

Minutes and Tres. Report were read and approved.

Old Business –Bill Dunlevy said the Carey Mills member donation is now at $920.  Our goal is $1,000.  The Chapter has donated $500.

Outdoor Week was a great success.  More than 10 members taught panning to 6th graders.  The event was four days and we had great weather.  The panning tubs were frozen over on three mornings.  Bill gives a great thank you to all volunteers.

Bill Dunlevy -  explained our participation in the Forty Mile Miner’s annual picnic on the 4th of July.  Sign up for food was available.  The Chapter will also have a potluck on July 2nd.  60 people are planning to attend.

Memorial Day outing will be at Crow Creek Mine.  The Chapter will provide meat and bread for the potluck on Sunday.  Sign up sheet was circulated.  A TV crew may be there Thurs.  Members are asked to participate if possible.

New Business –Earl Bragg presented plans for the Alaska Trapper’s Convention June 1-3 of 2012.  Vendor spaces are $250.  Area rental would be $500.  8x10 is $200 pre Oct. 1 or $250 after that.  They have reserved the Raven Hall and purple path with the Alaska Fairgrounds near Palmer.  A show of hands indicated we would like to participate with a Gold Show format.  Motion was made by Ingrid Kidd and seconded by Linda Henderson that we make a deposit for space 78.  Motion passed.  A deposit check of $250 to the Trappers Assn. was given to Earl Bragg.

Greg Durocher announced the map store hours will change as of June 6.  His hours will be the same but his staff can no longer take money from the sale of maps.

Idaho now has prohibited dredging.

We discussed the meeting potluck and would like to continue it.

Meeting was adjourned.
