November Minutes

November 17, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Bill Dunlevy at 7:00.

Minutes and Tres. Report were approved as amended.

Old Business – A check for $500 was sent to Public Lands for the People, Inc.  There has been no notice of receipt at this time.

Bill Bear produced a sample of a rack card.  We may change the information.  We will revisit this next month.

New Business – The AMA small miners meeting is next Tues.  Claims for sale are posted at the Forest Services Offices in Moose Pass.

Greg Durocher made a motion to elect Charlotte Foley to be our equipment manager.  Motion passed.

Motion was made to purchase turkey and ham for the Christmas Potluck.  Glenna Dunlevy will cook them.  Chris Alexander said he may be able to donate a turkey.

Announcements – Bill Dunlevy reminded us to consider The Alaska Mint or Oxford Assaying for Christmas presents.

Frank Holt brought a buck-a-billy sluice to show at the meeting.  He plans to be a local dealer.

Bill Bear has produced a manual for building a GoldPype.  He suggested we Google that name or Ted Hart for more information.

Greg Durocher told us that Montana Hodges has published a new book.  Rock Hounding in Alaska.  It has 75 sites described.

Dick Freisinger said that break-ins are happening at Caswell Lakes cabins.
