The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Bill Dunlevy at 7:00 after our monthly potluck.  47 attended and 4 were new members.Minutes and Tres. Report were read and approved. 

Old Business – Crow Creek Outing – 18 members attended.  The weather didn’t cooperate.  The potluck was held in Bill’s motorhome.  Brian Webber used a metal detector and found good gold on Sunday.

 Rick Parks brought a group picture and a box for pictures.  These will be sent to Dale Pokarney’s family.

 State Fair – volunteers were plentiful.  The Miner’s Assn. sent a thank yu message stating that 10,000 hats were given out on mining day.

 New Business – The Gold Show -  We need to form committees to site and begin planning for the summer Gold Show.  Possible sites are the Crow Creek Mine or the Golden Nugget RV Park.  We will contact both to check on availability and possible dates.  Bill Dunlevy urged members to donate two prizes each.  We can get national publicity thru Jimmy Jack.  He requests pictures for an article about our outing to Chicken.  He needs names for the captions.  Bill Dunlevy is his contact person.

 Announcements -  The AMA Convention will be held November 1 – 7 at the Sheraton Hotel.  The Chugach Gem and Mineral Society will have a rock show on Sunday Nov. 7th.

 Linda Henderson has hats and bumper stickers as well as patches and shirts available.

 The program was presented by Steve Hersbach.  He showed pictures of his trips and finds for the summer.  He has sold Moore Creek and bought a home in Reno.  He plans to spend more time mining here in the summer and there in the winter.
