The meeting was called to order by member Andres Macias at 7:00 after our monthly potluck.  18 attended and two were Newly arrived in Alaska today!

Minutes and Tres. Reports were read and approved as read.

Old Business- Labor Day Outing –was cancelled because only two members planned to attend.  Dan and Tanya reported there was a large wedding on Sunday and there was no parking available.

Mining day at the State Fair went well.  Roger, Bonnie, John and Dwight plus two previous members taught panning.  Gold was provided to AMA.  John brought pans, teaching materials and set up the panning troughs as well as taught.  Take down was done by Roger and Dwight and Roger took the tubs home.  They will be stored at Linda Henderson’s home. It was suggested we might want to change the outing dates next year.

New Business – Greg Durocher informed us about the Map Store.  It will be closing at the APU location, but they will have some maps available for sale at a store in a white building next to the Ulu Factory. Presently when you buy one popular map you can get another free.

Announcements. – Craig Casner’s estate had a sale over the weekend.  There are still some items for sale.  Members were invited to view them after the meeting.

Gene and LaRae did go to Chicken and did get some gold.  Weather was variable and they had a good time.

Cliff Shannon had some questions about GPAA claims in our area.

New member Doug Banker asked about bear precautions for miners.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:00.
